Blessings Central Florida Classic at Heathrow Country Club in Lake Mary, April 16-17, 2026

The Blessings in a Backpack Central Florida Classic will feature two days of golf ,” at Heathrow Country Club, in Lake Mary, Florida. The Jenene Caramielo “Celebrating Celine,” Concert has been moved to the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center, in Sanford, Florida.

The five golf events include:
  1. Team Scramble
  2. Joan L. Kidd, MD Fight for Life Putting Challenge
  3. The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Qualifier
  4. Joan L. Kidd, MD, Fight for Life Cup
  5. 2027 Ryder Cup Closest to the Pin Shootout

PRACTICE ROUND: For DOE Cup Golfers

Shotgun Start 9:00 a.m. 9 holes, $50. Players must be off the course by 11:30 a.m. Call Heathrow Country Club Golf Shop at 407-333-1469 to book and pay.

TEAM SCRAMBLE

10:15 a.m. – Registration, Grab & Go Lunch & Warm Up
11:35 a.m. – Opening Ceremonies & Announcements
12:00 p.m. – 18-Hole Scramble, Shotgun Start, Contests, & LED Leaderboards on Course
5:00 p.m. – VIP Reception, Awards Presentation, and Raffle Prize Selection for Golfers

JOAN L. KIDD MD FIGHT FOR LIFE PUTTING CHALLENGE

Step onto the practice green and take your putt at paradise! The Putting Challenge is open to registrants, sponsors, guests, and Club members, giving everyone a chance to compete, connect, and have fun while helping feed kids on the weekends—no golf experience required.

  • On the practice green at Heathrow Country Club from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Bring your putter or use putters provided on site

DOE CUP GOLFER REGISTRATION: 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Heathrow Country Club

JENENE CARAMIELO “CELEBRATING CELINE” CONCERT

Get ready for an unforgettable night of music and inspiration! Jenene’s powerful voice and commanding stage presence will leave you awestruck as she performs the iconic hits of Celine Dion.

Due to the overwhelming demand, the Concert at Heathrow Country Club has exceeded the number of guests allowed by County Permit. As a result, the Concert has been moved indoors to the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center in Sanford on Thursday April 16th.

Will Call will begin at 6 pm to allow attendees to also enjoy Caesar Frazier, keyboardist for Marvin Gaye. The line up of entertainment includes: Caesar Frazier at 6pm, followed by Bradley Wright, who performs humorous parodies of hit songs with lyrics from a golfer’s point of view , followed by Jenene Caramielo “Celebrating Celine Dion.”

THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH CUP QUALIFIER

Net Stableford scoring, individual competition for golfers with a USGA handicap index. Top two finishers receive an invitation for an expense-paid trip to England to play in the World Finals on the grounds of Windsor Castle in Fall of 2026.
7:00 a.m. – Registration, Continental Breakfast & Warm Up
8:40 a.m. – Opening Ceremonies & Announcements
9:00 a.m. – 18-Hole Individual Qualifier, Net Stableford Scoring, Shotgun Start, Contests, & LED Leaderboards on Course
1:30 p.m. – Lunch, Announcement of Rankings & Raffle Prize Distribution
2:30 p.m. – Playoff: Joan L. Kidd MD Fight for Life Cup (For 3rd – 12th place finishers, over 5 holes, with a SeaDream Yacht Mediterranean voyage for two as the prize) and 2027 Ryder Cup* Closest to the Pin Shootout (For 9 remaining Playoff golfers)

The Duke of Edinburgh Cup Qualifier GRAND PRIZE

The top two finishers will be invited to play at The Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals in England in the fall of 2026.

The invitation includes:

  • Economy airfare and five nights of hotel accommodations
  • Entry into “The Duke of Edinburgh Cup,” a two-day competition:
    • Round one: 18 holes at Wentworth Golf Club followed by lunch
    • Round two: 18 holes at Windlesham Golf Club (to be confirmed) followed by lunch
  • A match at The Royal Household Golf Club at Windsor Castle
  • A gala prize-giving dinner at Windsor Castle with a senior member of the Royal Family in attendance

A guest is welcome to accompany the qualifiers and may share the hotel room; however, functions, golf, meals, and other expenses will be at the guest’s own cost.
