Volunteer Spotlight: Becky Reitzel

Volunteer Spotlight: Becky Reitzel

Becky Reitzel is a retired teacher from OCPS ACE who has remained deeply connected to her former school and its students through her ongoing volunteer work with Blessings in a Backpack Central Florida.

After retiring, Becky leaned into her passion for giving back, becoming actively involved in multiple Blessings events and initiatives. She currently serves on the Race to Feed Committee and is looking forward to volunteering at the Blessings Central Florida Classic.

A proud Blessings in a Backpack Ambassador, Becky helps spread the word about our important work and was honored to represent the organization in November when Blessings in a Backpack Central Florida was recognized as a Creating Change Honoree by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

She is also a devoted fan of Justin Rose—who, along with his wife Kate, founded the Central Florida chapter—and loves staying connected to the events and people that make Blessings’ work possible. When she’s not volunteering, Becky enjoys traveling and exploring new places, bringing the same enthusiasm and heart to everything she does in support of hunger-free weekends for kids.
