Packing Events
Corporations or community groups (such as service organizations, nonprofits, religious organizations, colleges and universities, schools, book clubs, senior centers, and 55+ communities) can host a packing event to provide hands-on engagement opportunities for employees, customers, and members. Together, we can bridge the weekend hunger gap for kids in Central Florida.
Blessings in a Backpack can coordinate volunteer events at corporate offices or other designated facilities as follows:
- There is a 500-bag minimum for packing events, with a donation of $10 per bag, totaling a minimum of $5,000. Blessings will work with the packing event host to oversee coordination and set-up, and will be on-site during the event.
- The donation covers most of the supplies, including food items and delivery to the event location, grocery bags, markers, note cards, and transportation of packed bags to program sites.
